About this collection
The IWP is among the best known institutions at the University of Iowa and the premier institution of its kind in the world. In its nearly 40-year history, the program has welcomed over 1000 writers from over 100 countries. In 2003 the UI's School of Library and Information Science took a first step towards preserving and cataloging IWP's large archive so as to make it available to scholars and the public.
The complete collection comprises 4 subcollections.

How to find information in the International Writing Program Digital Archive collection

comes up when you begin, and can be reached from other pages by pressing

pressing the titles a-z button. This brings up a list of books in
alphabetic order. You can access publications by country by
pressing the countries button. This brings up a list of countries. You can access publications by series by
pressing the series button. This brings up a list of those series
which are currently in the collection. You can access publications by people by
pressing the people a-z button. This brings up a list of entries,
